Psalm 37: Part 4 - The Son Will Rise and Shine For You

Psalms-37--Part-4Have you ever tried to chase away light with darkness?  Did it work?  Think about it!  Let’s have a science experience.  Go to a dark room.  Block out all the light you can.  Now turn on the smallest light you can.  Did the darkness remain?

Let’s now look at it the other way around.  Go to a room filled with light.  Maybe there is natural lights or light from artificial lighting throughout.  Now close the curtains.  Turn off a light.  Turn off most of the lights.  Did darkness overcome the light?

The answer in both experiments above is NO.  Darkness can NEVER overcome light.  NEVER!!!!  As soon as light is present, it will shine and light the way!

Think about the dawning of a new day.  As the soon creeps up from the crevices of the world, ever so slowly.  Kisses the world with a new day.  Peeking.  Blinking. Clearing out the eye boogers and sleep from it’s eyes.  Greeting you with a warm smile.  As you watch, you have no choice but to gaze at it’s wonder and beauty, as the warmth of it slowly touches your skin.  The plants will slowly lift from their nighttime droop and, having been water from the nighttime dew, reach out to grab the rays.  Bask in your surroundings waking up as the sun’s shine engulfs life around you.  What a sight to behold!

No matter who you are. No matter where you are.  The sun rising will always be a sight to see!

Now that the sun is up and everyone and everything around you is sun-kissed with a new day, let’s look at when the sun has reached it’s highest point.  For many places, this is about noonday.  The sun is at it’s highest peak and after making this milestone for the day, it has no choice but to start it’s descend to it’s resting position for the day.

But at noon, it’s there!  In it’s FULL glory.  Making things even warmer.  Bringer life to all within the earth!  But dang it’s HOT.  Again, depending on where you live, this may not be the hottest part of the day, but it’s HOT!!

It’s harder to look at during this time as it was at dawn. Try gazing into it.  Your eyes will water and blur from the rays that are penetrating it.  At dawn, you long to look directly at it.  At noon, you block out some of this light and shine with caps, your hand, visors, sunglasses, or merely a quint of your eyes.  It’s unbearable.  Too much to handle!!!

What if your right-standing and justice were like this?  What if your righteousness (right-standing) was as bright as a light waking up a new day from a dark night or being turned on in a dark room! What if righteousness was that same light!  What if making things right for you was like this light!  What if your vindication was like the light of a new day!  What a sight to see.

And check out the brightness of the noonday.  The heat that is produced.  The unbearable glare of the noonday sun.  Light so bright, you can’t stand to look at it!  In all it’s glory, it’s just too much for anyone to look at!  What if the justice granted to you was like that!!  Too hot to handle.  So much that it is unbearable.  Causes people to be unable to look at you because it shines so brightly on you.  Bringing evildoers, your slanderous and other treacherous people and the like to their knees!

He will make your righteousness [your pursuit of right standing with God] like the light, And your judgment like [the shining of] the noonday [sun]. Psalm 37:6 (AMP)

Wow!!!! What a promise impressed on David to share with us!!  Take that devil!!  My JOY is in this promise.  As I pursue doing good and what is right, allowing you to fight my battles and vindicate me, my pursue will be like a light on a new day!  Ha!  Hallelujah!!!!

And the justice and vindication provided will be unbearable for people to handle!!  Too hot to handle.  They’d have no choice but to bow and rescind their attacks and evil doing!

What a blessing to know that you don’t have to try to retaliate against anyone or anything who is going against the will of God on your life or in this world.  HE GOT IT!!!  You will shine like the morning and noonday glory.  He will be seen in all of this.

…and provide for those who grieve in Zion-- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor. Isaiah 61:3 (NIV)

For those who are grieved because of their love of Christ (we will be hated because of Him - Matthew 10:22), he will give you beauty for your ashes.  He will take away your mourning and give you oil of JOY!  He will trade your oppressive and beaten spirit with a covering of praise!  He will make you so righteous that you will stand firm in Him like a strong oak he has planted for His glory.  He will never leave you and He will never forsake you.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake.  Deuteronomy 31:6 (KJV)

He is with you through the storm!  The sun will rise!!  The clouds will run!!  Look up!! The Son will rise for you and when you are at your lowest point, He will elevate you!  You will be high, noone or nothing will be able to pull you down! People will look at you wearing shades.  His Glory on you will be too bright!!!!

I decree and declare this!!

Humbly,
Keiyia JOYet George

We all go through storms, but when Joshua was handed his mantle, he was told several times to be courageous and strong.  God promised him he would never leave or forsake him.  He is not a respector of person!  Meaning, if He did it for Joshua and He did it for me, He has no choice but to do it for you, or He would be liar!!

If you’ve had a time in your life when you felt low and the Son brought you up or made you rise again, leave a comment below.  I’d love to rejoice with you!  If you need a little pick me up prayer, comment as well.  Let’s all stand in agreement that your JOY will be restored to you in Jesus name!

  • Hi This one touched me in a special way. It was just this morning that my husband and I were talking and we reminded each other what God promised us a few years ago. Things are not all together yet in our lives, but, whenever we declare that promise and come in agreement, the light and the rigtheousness of God illuminates in our hearts. I can say also that the darkness that tries to cloud our promises disappears because when the voice of God speaks it is final. Though this may be delayed in our eyes it will never be denied in Jesus name. I stand in agreement with as you stand in agreement with us, because there is power in agreement as the scriptures says. Be bless and keep on displaying your talents IJN.

    • @Arona Forbes: Hi Arona! I come in agreement with that that the sun will not go down before every promise made manifests in your life. Continue to trust. His will is perfect but way is straight. Stay the course! He'll get you that. His covenant says so: I will never leave you or forsake you!
