Take Everything, Lord

Take Everything LordHaving a moment today.

Having the feeling that nothing is worth having, so guess what? Lord, take it all.  I don’t need it.  I don’t want it. The house.  The money. The cars. I just want you!

How many of us can truly say this? That they are willing to become Job (who was left with a nagging wife).

Even now as I type this, I’m supposed to be finishing up some things, and all I want to do is cry out to God.

So this is my letter to God!

Lord, I give my all to you.  I don’t need a thing.  I have you.  You said in your Word that we do not have to worry about a thing.  As you have taken care of the birds, the fish, and the deer, you will do the same for us.  That we do not have to fret about tomorrow for tomorrow will manage tomorrow. (Matthew 6:25-34)  So Lord, I give you all to gain it all.  Let your Kingdom come! Let your will be done!  In me, for ever and ever.

I am your faithful servant.  Give me courage to step out and do as you command.  I wasn’t always in sync with you, but Lord, open my spiritual senses so that we may move as a unit.  I don’t want to leave your side.  Without you, this path you will take me will be impossible.

So stay with me.  Guide me.  Take over.  I welcome it.

Holy Spirit, you are welcome here!

Love,

Just Me
