Day 45: I trust You, Lord. Things are way better! Psalm 34
You are halfway through the Trust Walk. While the walk is designed to be a daily one, you may have needed to take each day weekly or monthly as you learned to lean on God in all situations. Regardless, you are halfway there.
The idea behind Trust Walk is not to learn to trust, but to learn to trust in all things. Every situation you have should be given to God. Every move should be made only after you've gotten guidance from your Father. You may have faltered in some areas, but recognize it and fix it expeditiously.
Trusting God takes constant renewing. For far too long, you've conditioned yourself to rely on yourself or others. It's time to turn to only your Maker for help.
At this halfway point you should be more aware of those areas you struggle to completely trust God in. What are they? Take some time today and look back to where you were when you first started this walk and where you are today. There has been some growth hasn't there? Don't stop now though. This walk isn't a walk where you can sit down and rest. The moment you do the evil one will sneak in and snatch it up and you will be back to square one.
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. Ecclesiastes 9:11 KJV
No matter how fast, strong, wise, or wealthy you are, trusting in God must be intentional. You have to purposely want to lean on him. It's your nature not too. Thank God he gave you a spirit though! The spirit yearns to do unto Him.
So again, half of the goal has been met. How do you feel? What's it been like? Some days were probably tough, while others quite nice. You've witness God lining things up in favor of you haven't you? You've gotten a taste of favor and the flavor is awesome!
O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. Psalms 34:8 KJV
It's been real sweet seeing Him make ways out of none, going beyond your expectations, and exceeding your desires. Isn't your Daddy a super cool Daddy. Hasn't learning to trust in ALL areas been a wonderful and exciting adventure?
I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. Psalms 34:4-7 KJV
Upon waking each day, look for an opportunity to trust God. Continue to lean on Him. Stay the course and don't get weary. In all situations, He's got you. Continue to trust Him.
Basking in goodness,
Keiyia JOYet George
